The company based in New York is privately run by the Axel family, Jacob Axel, third generation is now the VP and Frank Axel remains as the President.

Excel Industries
Excel Industries manufactures speciality cellulose fibre. Most of our raw materials are from recycled feed stocks such as either unprinted or printed newspaper. Our products are used in many varied applications from anti skid paints, screeds, tile adhesive, paper mache, bituminous products, PU and epoxy resin floor coverings, one or two component glues and sealing compounds, spreadable wood chip, magnesite screeds/ floor pavements, scrap/waste paper, filtration systems, intumescent coatings etc.

GenieTape
We have developed our own shrink tape which is also known as consolidation tape or shrink film for the filament winding/mandrel wrapping process. We have two grades, a standard product stable upto 130°C and a high temperature grade stable upto 180°C. These products are commonly used for wrapping composite tubing to aid consolidation during the curing stage but are also used in many other varied applications.

Formed in 1996 and following the commissioning of a state of the art facility in Devens, MA, USA in 2003 and the subsequent acquisition of the assets of Borregaard Synthesis Inc, Newburyport, MA, USA in 2005, the business was renamed PCI Synthesis Inc. They manufacture high end Imidazoles for epoxy composites and the pharmaceutical industry. PCI are one of the leading global manufacturers for these products.
